Thanks to the supervision from the government and the internal resources of Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport as well as the implementation of education and training development strategy, the facility of the university has been significantly improved. The laboratories, practice rooms, simulator machine with the international standards, library with more than 7.000 book titles, UT – Glory 2.000 DWT, the cargo and training vessel...have excelletly met the demand of teaching, learning and scientific research of the university.

The budget spent on facility of Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport has been gradually increasing. The systems of classrooms, laboratories, especially the high technology laboratory has been built to meet the training demand.

The total area of of Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport is: 3,2 hectares including:

1. Campus 1: No 2, D3 Street, Ward 25, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.

4. Campus 4: Land area in Ward 11, Vung Tau City: 1.034 m²

5. Dong Nai campus (Long Duc, Long Thanh District, Dong Nai province):  20 hectares.

Ministry of Transport has approved this project by the Decision No. 84/QĐ-BGTVT on January 11th, 2012 and Decision on approving the outline and cost estimate of this project on October 11th, 2013.

People Committee of Dong Nai Province issued the Statement No. 9838 on November 15th, 2013 on approving the location of this project and the Announcement No. 9839 on the same day about the land reclaimation to start the project.

On the day of 14th May, 2014, Department of Natural Resources and Environment approved the the area clearing project.
